Welcome to Week One Picks on the Hour Glass - 2019 College Football

Welcome to the 2019 Hourglass paid picks section of the page.

First let me say thanks for joining our team and believing in what we do. It has been a heck of a ride and we are just getting started; but, we couldn’t do it without your support so we want to say thank you.

Last year was a monumental year for the Hour Glass as we picked 534 college football winners, all done at this time last year, which was good for 84% on the 2018 season.  That prediction rate is higher than almost all the big boys in college football or your main stream media outlets.

Over the last two years we have gone 968-197 on all straight up picks, again all done before spring practice concludes; and last year we went 383-305 (56%) against the spread. Our Elite Eight picks, which are my personal plays weekly, we pegged 60-percent of those games right against the spread.  

We pegged 14 of 20 participants in Conference Championship Weekend, seven conference winners and the National Championship participants in Alabama and Clemson.

Before we get to the picks for this first real week (Labor Day Weekend) -let me say use this service as a guide. Do your own homework. I am not telling you who to bet on, but how I see every game and my elite eight plays are games I play personally at Ameristar Casino. Make sure you visit our team at the sports book there - Keith and his team are amazing.

But, use this as a guide with homework you do. Lines can change all the way to kick off and trends tend to move. It will take a few weeks to notice the 2019 trends, but some trends can be several years running.

Ohio State to cover -27 at home against FAU

Toledo to cover -12 on the road at Kentucky

Memphis to cover -6 at home against Ole Miss

South Carolina to cover -6.5 on the road at North Carolina

Notre Dame to cover -16 at Louisville

Utah to cover -4.5 at BYU

Tulsa to cover -22.5 at Michigan State
