What’s to like:
Lane Kiffin has been on a roll as the Ole Miss Rebels head coach, and he has slowly established himself as one of the best head coaches in college football. Their consistent dominance has paid off as they have signed seemingly everybody in the transfer portal. The Rebels have signed the 2nd best transfer class in all of college football.
However, it is the guys who were on the team this past season that are the most exciting. The Rebels had 2 sophomore LBs who were absolutely dominant with TJ Dottery and Suntarine Perkins. These two Rebels combined for 136 tackles, 18.5 TFLs, 12.5 Sacks, and Perkins had an interception. Look for these two to be major problems for opposing offenses.
What’s not to like:
Ole Miss had to sign a great portal class because they lost a lot of highly talented and impactful players. Most notably, Ole Miss lost highly touted QB Jaxson Dart who has declared for the NFL draft as one of the top QBs in this year's class. Jaxson Dart threw for 10,617 yards, 72 TDs, and 12 rushing TDs during his illustrious career at Ole Miss.
The Rebels will have to rely on young, unproven QB Austin Simmons to replace Jaxson Dart. Simmons did not see the field a lot in his freshman year, but he is supposedly a great talent and has unlimited potential. It is next to impossible to replace a QB like Dart, but if Simmons can come out hot, the Rebels should be able to continue their dominance.

Final thoughts:
The Rebels will have a tough road ahead without their star QB Jaxson Dart, but they have great players still there and great players from the transfer portal. If this new QB can do half of what Dart could, Ole Miss will be once again one of the best teams in the SEC. Don’t expect for that Rebel dominance to slow down anytime soon.
