2021 LSU football predictions on the HG
Jake Wimberly
What’s to like:
Talent - the Tigers have talent and in many places.
LSU comes in with the third best roster talent in the country on our three year talent metric and return one of the best secondary’s in the country, led by Eli Ricks and Jay Ward.
The Tigers are deep at quarterback and should have a really good one, two punch in Myles Brennan and Max Johnson.
Kayshon Bouttle leads a talented group of young wide receivers for LSU and the Tigers return most of their running back production - one that saw 1217 yards and nine touchdowns a year ago.
What’s not to like:
Turnover - coaching turnover galore as the Tigers will be breaking in new offensive and defensive coaches. Ed Orgeron’s team took some steps back a year ago, and will look for consistency between the headsets with new blood on both sides of the ball.
Also, lots of noise off the field with several pending issues that may end up being a distraction down the road. The Tigers need to clean up and get beyond noise off the field in 2021.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
LSU took a major dip last year, coming off the National Championship; - but that was expected with the attrition on the team.
The goal of the team this year is to get back to being in the conversation in November of being a true competitor with Alabama and the likes in the SEC.
If the Tigers can find stability in the coordinators and solidify their quarterback position, LSU could be in a great position to knock off Alabama and win the West in 2021.
Projected Hour Glass W/L record: Games in red denote games that could be a one possession game or even a different outcome than projection.
