What’s to Like:
Texas A&M has a great recruiting program, as they are ranked 16th in our 3-year metric. Texas A&M also has a great NIL program that could land future players and recruits.
Conner Weigman is making progress to be 100% since the season ending injury in 2023. This is great news for Texas A&M as Weigman threw for 8 TDs and nearly 1000 yards through 4 games. With Weigman Texas A&M has a QB that knows their system.
This will be Mike Elko’s first year as head coach with the Aggies, coming from Duke with a positive record of 16-9.
Texas A&M also added Nic Scourton from the transfer portal. Scourton ranked 9th nationally with 10 sacks last season.
What’s Not to Like:
The Texas A&M receiving room took a hit this season. Their leading receiver last year, Ainias Smith has moved on to the NFL. The Aggies also lost Evan Stewart, their third leading receiver to the Oregon Ducks.
The Aggies running attack last year was lackluster, as they ranked near the bottom of the SEC. The Aggies only averaged 136.2 yards per game.
Hourglass Prediction:
2024 Texas A&M - SEC (9-3)
Four year analytical percentage of Texas A&M = 85%

Texas A&M on the road: 0-3-1

Final Thoughts:
The Texas A&M Aggies have a lot of upside. They are going to play in the SEC which is going to be tougher this year. The Hourglass Prediction has them going 9-3, which would be a solid record. They are not going to win the SEC, but this season could be the start of something great. Mike Elko has experience with Texas A&M as he was former defensive coordinator for them. This program could be on the rise with their recruiting statistics and their NIL program.
