What’s to like:
Cam Ward will be starting at quarterback for the Hurricanes in 2024. The Washington State transfer has had two straight seasons over 3,200 passing yards. Miami has not had a consistent quarterback in recent years and Ward will be a breath of fresh air.
Miami has retained skill talent top to bottom with key players like running back Mark Fletcher and receivers Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George.
What’s not to like:
Running back Mark Fletcher has a lower-body injury that has kept him from practice so we have not seen him this spring. He is not expected to return to the field until fall camp. When healthy he is a major asset to the offense.
With Colbie Young transferring to Georgia, receivers like Isaiah Horton need to step up and fill in the gap. Horton needs to step up and have a breakout year in 2024.
Miami lost key contributors on defense as they are preparing for the NFL Draft.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
The outlook is good for the Miami Hurricanes in 2024. With a projected 12-0 record, this team is looking to step up their previously inconsistent offense and make a playoff run. Is Cam Ward the solution to Miami’s struggles on offense? It looks like it. There seemed to be great chemistry between Ward and the receiver corps in their recent spring practice.
Miami has a very manageable schedule and a high likelihood of an ACC Championship appearance. Week one appearance at “The Swamp” will set the tone for 2024. In the days of old, Florida and Miami were bitter rivals. Road games are spread out and the Hurricanes will not have to face Clemson, NC State, or North Carolina.
All things considered, it looks like Miami has a chance at their best season since 2017.
