2022 Alabama football projections on the HG
Jake Wimberly
What’s to like:
What’s not to like about this Alabama team? They return the Heisman Trophy winner in Bryce Young, the best overall player in Will Anderson and a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.
Alabama is going to be on a mission and they are a heavy favorite in Vegas to go wire to wire, number one team in the country. Nick Saban has a chip on his shoulder and normally when this happens, it’s not good for the rest of college football.
What’s not to like:
If there is one weak link, it’s how good is the offensive front? Alabama struggled at times protecting the passer and needs to really shore that unit up.
Also - while there is talent at wide receiver, how quickly can this team jell into a high level unit? Also can the kicking game be solid to really good? Any time we see a really great team faulter, it normally falls in the special teams. The Tide needs to make sure the third phase is super clean.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
This has all the makings of a great Nick Saban led Alabama team. From experience on both sides of the ball, to explosive playmakers and talent galore.
The Tide will be tested along the way, but anything less than a National Championship in 2022 would be a disappointment in Tuscaloosa. This could be one of the best teams Saban has had since at Alabama, which speaks volumes.
